Lopar with kids: a family playbook

Families are why Lopar exists as a resort: the sand is soft, the sea stays shallow for a hundred metres, and everything is close together. A few things that make a week here easier.

Beach rhythm

Paradise Beach is gentlest in the morning — warm shallows, no crowds, easy parking for the buggy. After lunch, the villa's pool and shaded garden with the children's playground cover the hottest hours; go back to the beach after five when the light softens.

Rainy-day (or too-hot-day) ideas

  • Rab Town's alleys and the climbable bell tower — kids treat it as a castle.
  • Gelato benchmarking along the Lopar seafront. Somebody has to do it.
  • The easy geopark trails behind the peninsula — sandstone shapes, lizards and sea views; the short loops suit small legs.

Good to know

  • Our apartments sleep families comfortably — separate bedrooms plus a sofa bed, kitchens for early dinners, and a washing machine on site.
  • Children under 2 stay free; see each room's details on the accommodation page.
  • The bakery next door opens early — croissant diplomacy solves most breakfast negotiations.
