Lopar sits at the northern tip of the island of Rab. Whichever way you travel, the last leg is beautiful — but it pays to know the ferry logic before you set off.
By car
The main route is the Stinica–Mišnjak ferry from the mainland just off the coastal road south of Senj. The crossing takes about 15 minutes and runs frequently in season; from Mišnjak it is a scenic half-hour drive up the island to Lopar. In peak summer, aim for early morning or evening crossings to avoid queues.
Via Krk island
A seasonal car ferry links Valbiska (Krk) with Lopar directly — handy if you are coming from the Rijeka direction, since Krk is connected to the mainland by bridge. You step off the ferry practically at our doorstep. The line is busiest in July and August; check the current Jadrolinija timetable when planning.
By plane
The nearest airport is Rijeka (RJK) on Krk, about 53 km away — from there, hire a car and take the Valbiska–Lopar ferry, or drive the mainland route. Zadar and Zagreb airports are workable alternatives with a longer drive.
Once you are here
Lopar itself is compact: the beach, bakery, supermarket and pharmacy are all within a short walk of the villa, and we offer bike hire for everything else.
